Hillockhead Farm is a 150 year old traditional sandstone farmhouse which years ago used to be the home of the school teacher in Rosemarkie. She travelled to school on her horse! Transport has improved since then although there is still a rough track down to the farm which adds to the feeling of getting away from it all.
The sea views from this large holiday house on the Black Isle are truly spectacular, look over the water across to Fort George with the Cairngorm mountains in the distance.
To the west look towards Inverness and the Ben Nevis range and to the east look out to the North sea and beyond. If you are lucky on Winter nights, you may catch sight of the wonderful Northern Lights.
Dolphins are sometimes seen literally from your window, jumping and playing or on the bow of a ship.
